Both Holly and Caitlyn, who are in their rookie seasons of single-seater racing, showed the benefit of the experience gained during 2025 to perform well at one of Europe’s most challenging venues; the 2.6-mile ‘Grand Prix’ version of the legendary Kent circuit.
For Chelmsford racer Holly and for Maldon-based Fox Motorsport, Brands Hatch is the home circuit, and both were keen to put on a good showing for their local fans.
Holly did just that, the 17-year-old qualifying 20th and then putting in her two best dry-weather performances of the year to finish 18th and 16th in the weekend’s pair of races.
For London-based American Caitlyn, who only sat in a go-kart for the first time last April, the weekend was an opportunity to make good on the rapid improvements in speed and consistency the 18-year-old has made.
A best-ever 22nd spot in qualifying was followed by 20th in the two races, giving her a good chance of taking her best weekend points haul to date with a positive finale.
That finale sadly never happened as delays in the timetable forced it to be postponed. It now will be held as part of the Donington Park season finale on October 4-5.
Paul McNeilly, Team Principal, said: “It’s been a really positive weekend for the whole team. Both Holly and Caitlyn have worked so hard with us this year to improve every element of their racing. For Holly it was a case of adapting to the single-seater while Caitlyn had to learn everything, having not had a significant karting background. To be able to raise their levels again, at probably the toughest circuit on the calendar, really shows how far they’ve both come. It’s a shame the last race was postponed but we’ll certainly be looking to continue this form at Donington.”
