Archie Bullard and Jasser Iskander both finished inside the overall top 10 in the GB4 Winter Series at Snetterton. Archie took a career-best fifth place in the wet. Debutant Rob Crawford led the Rookie standings going into the finale, but a first-lap pile-up left him as runner-up.

Fox Motorsport enjoyed a strong GB4 Winter Series with drivers Archie Bullard, Jasser Iskander and Rob Crawford all scoring impressive results across the four-race event at Snetterton last weekend.

Both Surrey racer Archie and Saudi ace Jasser finished in the top 10 positions in the overall points while newcomer Rob secured the runner-up spot in the Rookie classification.

It was Archie, 19, who scored the best result of the weekend for the team from Maldon, Essex, as he surged to fifth place in a wet second race that was red-flagged for a time due to the undriveable track conditions.

His charging style helped achieve that result – which was the best finish of his racing career – from 10th on the starting grid, and he added eighth in the opener and 12th – after dropping to last initially after taking to the grass to avoid a first-lap incident – in the finale.

The result was 10th in the points and a successful end to his first year of car racing.

One place further up the points was team-mate Jasser, who finished all four races on what was the most complete weekend of his racing career and secured ninth place overall.

The 15-year-old from Jeddah did this by finishing 11th and ninth on Saturday and repeating those results 24 hours later as he gained significant positions from his 16th-place qualifying spot on Sunday.

His results also helped Fox Motorsport to take fourth spot in the Teams’ Championship.

Essex driver Rob Crawford made his car racing debut at Snetterton; the Southend-on-Sea competitor having first tested a Fox Motorsport Ginetta Junior race car last year as his prize for winning the 2024 Brentwood Karting Driver of the Year award.

The 18-year-old qualified as second-best rookie and finished as the category runner-up in each of the first three races, meaning he started the finale leading the points and knowing that a repeat of his 11th-place overall finish in Race Three would likely be enough to secure the title.

Agonisingly he was involved in a second-corner pile-up that was not of his making and suffered damage to his left-rear corner that ultimately ended his race in the pits on the opening lap.

Despite the obvious disappointment, Rob still finished as the second-highest Rookie in the overall standings and left his mark on the series against many more experienced rivals.

Paul McNeilly, Team Principal: “We’ve had some real highlights this weekend with Archie and Jasser both putting in probably their best-ever race weekends. Jasser was ultra-consistent in finishing around the top 10 while Archie was brilliant in the wet especially to finish in the top five for the first time. The difference in both since the March and April this year is night-and-day. Of course we’re gutted for Rob, who drove so well all weekend and would probably have been the Rookie Champion if he’d just had a reasonable finish in the final race, but was eliminated in a first-lap incident that was caused by some cars running in front of him. That’s racing though and in no way does it undo how impressive his debut weekend has been.”
