Overview The GP circuit, 3.194 miles, heads into Copse Corner from the start/finish line, this is a fast relatively blind right hand bend that leads onto a short straight before approaching a series of bends starting with a high speed left-hand kink into Maggotts leading into the fast right-hander Becketts, then into the left hand bend Chapel Curve. This then leads onto the long Hangar Straight before the very fast approach to one of the most famous corners in world motor racing, Stowe. After a short straight you approach Vale, a sharp left-hander followed by the right hand Club Corner. An uphill approach then leads into the Abbey Curve that looks like a tight left/right, but is actually faster than expected, this then leads onto the short Farm Straight then into the fast right hand Bridge Corner before the tight left hand bend Priory and the twisty Luffield complex then onto the fast right hand Woodcote corner leads you back onto the start/finish line. Lap record is 1:18.739 by Michael Schumacher in the Ferrari during the 2004 F1 season. |
