Overview The shorter indy circuit (1.198miles) is an ideal track for Novice track days. The circuit begins on the Brabham Straight before plunging into Paddock Hill bend, one of the most exhilarating bends due to it's off-camber blind approach and sudden change in elevation. The next corner, Druids, is a hairpin bend, negotiated after an uphill braking zone at Hailwood Hill. The track then curves around the south bank spectator area into the downhill, off-camber Graham Hill Bend, and another slight left hand stretch at the Cooper Straight before leading into the fast right hander McLaren which tightens into Clearways before completing the lap back on to the Brabham Straight.. Lap record is 0:38.032 by Scott Mansell in the Benetton B197 during the 2004 EuroBOSS season. |
