Darren Burke
Darren Burke has a wealth of experience in both karts and single seaters, he started his career in 1999 racing Cadet karts, progressing onto Junior Rotax Max championships then onto the Intercontinental A European championships.

This eventually led to drives in Formula Ford and had been regularly on the podium since 2003.

Overall achievements
2009 - Historic Formula Ford Championship: 6th place with only competing in 3 races. (3 poles, 3 1st place finishes, 3 fastest laps, 2 new lap records)

2008 - Numerous Historic Formula Ford races (3 poles, 2 1st place finish, 1 2nd place finish, 2 fastest laps, 2 lap records)

2006 - 4th place finish in the Formula Ford Festival (Only race of 2006)

2005 - 2nd place finish in the Formula Ford 1600 Festival (Only race of 2005)

2004 - Competed in various Formula Ford 1600 races across the UK (Brands Hatch, Castle Combe, Silverstone) including 3rd place in the Formula Ford Festival (2nd race at Brands).
In first FF1600 race (Castle Combe), came from 35th to finish 8th.
In first FF1600 race meeting at Brands Hatch, finished 3rd.
Competed in various 750 Motor club Road sport races in a MK1 MR2.
Competed in the Prospeed rally scholarship 2004 – finished 5th.


2003 - Worked for Menu F3 in the British Formula 3 championship – worked on the preparation of the race cars at various race meetings.

Karting Career
2002 - Intercontinental A
12th overall in the European championships.
10th overall in region for European championship qualifier (2nd of only 4 Brit’s that qualified!).
16th overall in the Super One national kart series (UK).
9th in the one-off Kart Masters event (UK).
Selected to represent England in the prestigious Internations Kart Cup.


2000 /2001 - Junior Rotax Max
Winner of “Champions of the Future” National kart series 2001.
Winner of the JAG Winter Series 2001.
Vice Champion in the Super One National kart series 2001.
Ranked 4th in the British National kart rankings 2001.
Winner of the Buckmore Park ‘Chairmans Cup’ for outstanding Achievment 2001
The Highest placed Buckmore Park Kart Club member in a British/National Championship.
Selected to represent England in the prestigious Internations kart cup 2001.
Recognised by the governing body of British motorsport (MSA, and ARK’s) as a potential karting champion and took part in its “Fit to Be a Kart Champion” scheme.
4th in a Junior Rotax ‘O’plate meeting 2001.
3rd overall in “Champions Of The Future” National kart series 2000.
Winner of the 1st ever Junior Rotax Max race 2000.

2nd in the Buckmore Park Kart Club winter Championship 1999.
Winner of the Bayford Meadows Kart Club summer Championship 1999.
